Leaving so soon? Well, I hoped you enjoyed the ABC's of DBZ experience! And here's my collection of tremendous DBZ websites, that really have inflated my interest in DBZ from enjoyment to near-fanaticism! The links are divided into three sections... Epics, Fanwork/Shrines, and Information. I did it this way because fanwork (fanart and fanfiction archives) are most often included in shrines, so there'd be significant overlap. But I did include some brief summaries, so you know exactly where to go.

Note: The sign E.U.Y.W.D. stands for "Eats Up Your Whole Day," and is meant to warn fans that exploring this page endangers your ability to get anything else done in a single day. You heard me... the content is just that good.

Epics

Vejiitasei Ascendant
This has got to be the most incredible story I've ever read. It's a huge Alternaverse, beginning with "The Young Prince," in which we meet the Saiyajin no Ouji at a not-quite-so-tender age. This has it all... action, romance, intrigue, dizzying plot-twists... and one painful cliffhanger after another. This fic definitely earns an E.U.Y.W.D. warning... more like two or three. But please note: in order to access this epic, you'll need to be eighteen years of age, so you can attain an Aestheticism account. Check out the link for more details.

Dominion Reprise
This is one unforgetable epic. It's really huge (hence, it earns the E.U.Y.W.D. warning), taking off after DBZ and featuring a new and intriguing evil that threatens all of creation. And just what is the eighth Dragon Ball? Read this colossal epic to find out...

Dark Ki
Another classic epic, picking up in an Alternaverse that examines the Cold and Saiyan Empires long before DBZ begins. Really great story, focusing on some DBZ characters that got the short end of the stick in the series/movies. But I warn you... this epic is nowhere near completion! But a definite read.

Fanworks and Shrines Links

Mirai World
Nora Jemison is easily one of the most talented fanfiction authors whose work I've had the pleasure of examining. And I do mean examining, for I've read "The Last Warrior" and it's sequel "Full Circle" at least three times each. And that doesn't even mention the other, equally inspired shorter fanfics. Be prepared for brilliant character development when you read this work. And I'd like to issue an E.U.Y.W.D. warning, for when I started reading "The Last Warrior," I stayed up until two a.m. to finish it... regardless of the fact I had to wake up at 6:00 the next morning...

B-Chan's Homepage
This is easily one of my favorite all-around DBZ webpages! It's a fabulous collection of the most mind-blowing fanart I've ever seen! B-Chan has designed truly inspired works of mainstream DBZ characters, as well as a few originals of her own. Treat yourself to an imaginative art gallery, as well as a nice library of B-Chan's own fanfiction, which is also inspired. If by some off-chance, you've never been to B-Chan's page, then I suggest you block out an afternoon to sweep the entire gallery, and another afternoon to read all her great fanfiction. You got it... definitely merits an E.U.Y.W.D. warning.

Temple o' Trunks
The best shrine I've ever seen! It's got it all... image gallery, backgrounds, fanfics, jokes, quotes... sheesh! You can't call yourself a Trunks fan until you've absorbed all this website has to offer! It's got the E.U.Y.W.D. label on it, and then some!

Dragoness Eclectic's Dragon Ball Z Fanfics
This is a fabulous webpage, devoted to Radditz, an oft-overlooked DBZ character. In this ongoing series, Radditz gets a chance to redeem himself for the bad first impression he made with Gohan and Goku. Great Alternaverse series, including an interesting examination of the Afterlife, and blending various mythologies with classic DBZ characters. A must-visit page... for Radditz fans, or just fanfiction fans in general. And warning... "Radditz's Return" and "Mythic Descent" are rather long, garnering an E.U.Y.W.D. warning.

Juuhachigou's Place of Being
This is a marvelous shrine devoted to the cool, confident, beautiful Juuhachigou (Android Eighteen). Check out the powerful Mirai universe fanfiction series "Dragon Ball Super Z," which chronicles Trunks' adventures years after the Cell fight, and encounters Juuhachigou once again.

Bulma's Secret
Terrific tribute to Bulma and Vegeta, one of my favorite DBZ topics. While you're there, check out the Gallery, Fanart, and Fanfics, featured in English as well as Spanish.

Forever
This is the biggest shrine to Bulma and Vegeta that I've seen, featuring a huge collection of fanfiction by a multitude of authors, a wide array of fanart, regular contests to keep things interesting, and even a poll to help you decide which fanfics to read first! It's also the first page I posted any of my DBZ stories (under the name Vespera), and it's one of my favorite pages. And, unlike every other page I visit... this one is updated at least twice a week! Usually, three or sometimes even four times a week. You heard me! FOUR TIMES A WEEK?! THAT'S INSANE!! I don't know how Adimra does it, but I sure appreciate the regular B/V fix. And due to the incredible volume of quality work, I am issuing a E.U.Y.W.D. warning to all interested readers. Especially if you decide to check out Lisalu's work... you just won't be able to turn away.

Takira's Little Universe
This isn't really the title, but it's the best label I could come up with. Visit this site to read Takira's inspired works, ranging from short but powerful vignettes like "The Room" and "Trials." Also, she's got an epic-in-progress "Twist of Fate." Definitely tales worth reading.

Bulma!
Okay... everyone who loves Miss Bulma Briefs raise your hands! She's smart, sassy, sexy... and she's the first one to tell you! So sit back, relax, and indulge in a great homage to one of DBZ's finest characters.

My Shrine to Bulma Briefs
Another great shrine for a great character! This one features a great ongoing Alternaverse series... "The Real Story of Bulma Briefs." In this wild, fun story, Bulma gets a piece of the action from the very beginning, and joins the Z-Senshi on adventure after adventure... armed with her impressive ki as well as her unparalleled mind.

Dragon Ball Z Rewrite
*Snicker* I really can't think of a better parody of any show than Some Random Guy's fabulous spoof of DBZ. It features a rewrite of the Saiyan Saga, as well as a DBZ Movie that's just terrific, and even a prank he pulled on fanfiction web-hosts. If you're in the mood for something light, then this is the place to go.

Rhionae's Storytime
A very nice collection of DBZ fanfictions, as well as a few other categories, all written by the talented Rhionae. Treat yourself to a few reflective pieces, as well as the powerful (and dark) tale "What Friend's Are For," which takes off into an interesting adventure series.

Mamono Sakuhachi
Another site featuring quality fanfiction. Personally, I adored "The Calm Before the Storm" and "Confessions of a Coward." The latter made me see Yamucha in a whole new light...

Ryu Tengoku: A Temple for DBZ/GT
A very nice page, including beautiful fanart, a nice gallery, and the touching fanfic One Wish... part of a series that's still in the works. Also, very attractive layout.

Anime-Fan-Works
This is an FTP site, meaning you'll have to download and unzip the files to read them. But, while it's rather unsophisticated in terms of appearance, this page is a must visit for DBZ fanfic enthusiasts! A wide collection of stories from a multitude of authors, some new, some ranging years back. It also has dozens of other anime folders, for those Gundam/Sailor Moon/Escaflowne fans out there... even some Final Fantasy! This site merits an E.U.Y.W.D. warning, simply because of the sheer volume of fanfiction. If you do decide to download great work, I suggest you read "Things We Want," still my favorite "How Bulma and Vegeta got together" story. Also, check out Katchan's very long saga "Saiyajin," "Endgame" by Arline Lyons, and also, Book One of "Vejiitasei Ascendant," called "The Young Prince," and the beginning of Book Two, "Chikyuu Contaminant." This is a great opportunity to check out the saga and see if it interests you before actually getting the Aestheticism ID (but I warn you, I don't think the rest of the saga will be posted at this site, so if you want closure you'll have to get the ID eventually).

Information Sites

The Official DBZ Website
Okay, this is the official website for the American dub of DBZ... so I guess it's a Funimation site. It's got Flash features, so you'll need to download that add-on to experience it. But it's a nice page, complete with information on the U.S. release of DBZ videos and other merchandize, as well as the release schedule of the show on Cartoon Network. It's a good way to keep informed.

The Ultimate DBZ Information Site!
Greg's page has a very bold title... and it really lives up to it! You need DBZ information? Wanna know the name of Piccolo's driving instructor? Curious as to just how many attacks Gotenks has? Can't remember the full name of Mr. Satan's Miracle Punch? Well, this is the place to look! Also, if you're only familiar with the U.S. dub of DBZ, this is also a great place to discover just what you're missing.

Planet Namek
This is one of those absolutely huge, exhaustive DBZ websites. And when I mean exhaustive, I mean it has everything... biographies, battle guide, music, images, links, fanfiction, fanart, chatroom, message board... and probably everything else you can imagine a DBZ site having. Phew... now you know what I mean by "exhaustive," ne?
